Can a Beat-Based workout rewire your brain? new study explores
NCT ID NCT06539650
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at how a single session of strength training with a metronome (a device that produces a regular beat) affects the connection between the brain and muscles. Thirty healthy men aged 18 to 40 did leg exercises at a set pace, either with a regular beat or a more variable, fractal-like beat. The goal was to see if adding natural movement variability could speed up neural adaptations, which might be useful for injury rehabilitation.
