NCT ID NCT06230679
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This completed study tested a non-invasive device called NESA that gently stimulates nerves to help cancer survivors with sleep problems, fatigue, and muscle pain. Forty survivors who had finished cancer treatment at least five years ago took part. The goal was to see if the device could improve their quality of life by easing these common late effects.

Active substance
NESA non-invasive neurostimulation device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a drug-free option to ease common late effects of cancer treatment, improving quality of life for survivors.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed trial with only 40 participants. Results may not apply to all survivors, and the placebo effect could play a role.
