First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early study tests a small device that sends gentle electrical pulses to nerves near the knee, elbow, or shoulder to relieve chronic pain. About 30 adults with severe pain will try a temporary implant first, and if it helps, they may get a permanent version. The main goals are to check safety and whether the device works as intended.
