Hormone therapy before surgery may reduce cancer left behind in lobular breast cancer

Summary
This study looks at whether giving hormone therapy before surgery can lower the chance of cancer cells being found at the edges of removed tissue in women with stage 2 to 3 invasive lobular breast cancer. About 176 postmenopausal women with ER+/HER2- tumors will receive neoadjuvant endocrine therapy before breast-conserving surgery. The goal is to see if this approach leads to fewer repeat surgeries and better outcomes.
