Nanoparticle 'Booster' trial aims to supercharge cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT03589339

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether injecting a nanoparticle called NBTXR3 directly into a tumor, then activating it with radiation, can make immunotherapy work better for people with advanced cancers. The study will enroll about 145 patients with various cancers that have spread or returned, including head and neck, lung, liver, and others. The main goal is to find a safe dose and see if this three-part combination can help control the cancer.
