Community program tested to fight diabetes in navajo nation
NCT ID NCT03326206
Summary
This study looked at a community health program called COPE that has been running in the Navajo Nation since 2009. It aimed to see if the program helped people with diabetes better manage their condition by improving blood sugar, blood pressure, and other health measures. Researchers compared the health records of over 28,000 people who were in the program to similar people who were not, to see if the community-based support made a difference.
