First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with immune system problems get severe or unusual fungal infections. Researchers will collect blood, saliva, and tissue samples from up to 1,200 participants, including patients, their relatives, and healthy volunteers. The study will last up to 25 years, with visits every 6 months for patients. It does not test any new treatment, but will help scientists learn more about the immune system's role in fighting fungal infections.
