Nose bacteria linked to diabetic foot infections?

NCT ID NCT01212120

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 278 diabetic patients to see if the same staph bacteria found in their noses also appear in their foot ulcers. Researchers compared the genetic fingerprints of the bacteria to understand the link. The goal was to learn more about infection risks, not to test a new treatment.
