Power naps for surgeons? study tests if quick sleep boosts crisis skills
NCT ID NCT05619081
Summary
This study tested whether short 'power naps' could help tired anesthesiology residents perform better during simulated medical emergencies. Researchers recruited 44 residents who worked night shifts and got little sleep. They compared the performance of residents who took a short nap versus those who did not, using high-tech medical simulations to measure their skills and stress levels.
