Tiny implant zaps nerve pain: new study tests relief without drugs

Summary
This study tests a small implanted device that sends mild electrical pulses to nerves to relieve chronic pain from injury or surgery. About 89 adults with long-lasting pain in the back, shoulder, knee, or foot will either get the implant plus usual care or usual care alone. The goal is to see if the device helps more people get at least 50% pain relief safely.
