This study explores whether a simple, radiation-free scan of the nailbeds—called nailfold capillaroscopy—can help diagnose and monitor pulmonary hypertension (PH), a condition of high blood pressure in the lungs. Researchers will compare nailbed blood vessel measurements with invasive heart catheter readings in 60 adults with different types of PH. They will also scan patients again after they start pulmonary vasodilator therapy to see if nailbed changes reverse with treatment, potentially offering a less invasive way to track response.
