Summary

This study tests whether a small implanted sensor, called CardioMEMS, can continuously track blood pressure in the lung arteries after surgery for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). The surgery, called pulmonary endarterectomy, can cure CTEPH, but some patients still have high blood pressure afterward. Currently, doctors check this with occasional invasive tests, which miss changes over time. The study will place the sensor during surgery and monitor pressure remotely to see when it stabilizes and how it relates to recovery.
