New audio game aims to soothe stressed kids in hospital
NCT ID NCT06922032
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing a new audio-based game called Mystic Pets to see if it can help distract children aged 4-17 from emotional distress while they are in the hospital. About 20 children at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital will try the game and give feedback on how easy and enjoyable it is to use. The goal is to find out if this simple, non-medical tool can make hospital visits less stressful for young patients.
