Summary

This study looked at whether group music therapy can improve emotional well-being, reduce anxiety, and boost social connections among university students in urban China. 120 students were split into three groups: active music-making, guided music listening, or a waitlist. Over six weeks, both music therapy groups showed improvements compared to the waitlist group.
