Summary

This study tested whether group music therapy could help improve the emotional well-being of university students. 120 students were randomly assigned to either participate in active music-making sessions, guided music listening sessions, or to a waitlist group for 6 weeks. Researchers measured changes in anxiety, mood, general health, and feelings of social connection to see if the music sessions helped.
