NCT ID NCT07252648

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether listening to music before, during, and after pain procedures can help people with chronic pain feel less anxious and experience less pain. About 110 adults will be randomly assigned to either listen to their own chosen music or receive standard care. Researchers will measure anxiety, pain-related thoughts, and pain levels to see if music therapy is a helpful, drug-free option.
