Soothing sounds for sore wounds: music tested as pain relief

NCT ID NCT07287254

Summary

This study tested whether listening to music during wound dressing changes helps reduce pain and anxiety for people with venous leg ulcers. Researchers compared two types of music (instrumental Turkish and Western) to no music in 97 patients. They measured pain and anxiety levels before, during, and after the wound care procedure to see if music made a difference.
