First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at whether listening to relaxing classical music after a cesarean delivery can help reduce pain and anxiety. 110 first-time mothers who had a C-section took part. Starting 24 hours after birth, the music group listened to 15 minutes of music every hour, while the control group did not. The results showed that music may help new mothers feel calmer and experience less pain during recovery.
