First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study tested a music breathing therapy for children with ADHD and their caregivers. The therapy involved six weekly group sessions combining music, breathing exercises, and games. The goal was to see if it could boost resilience and reduce emotional and behavioral symptoms. The study included 48 parent-child pairs and compared the therapy to online educational modules.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
dyadic video-assisted gamified group-based music breathing therapy
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a fun, non-drug way to help children with ADHD and their parents feel more resilient and less stressed.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 48 participants, so results may not apply widely. The therapy is behavioral, not a cure, and benefits may be modest.
