Music vs. gas: new app aims to soothe patients during painful shots
NCT ID NCT06928740
Summary
This study is testing if a music therapy app on a tablet can reduce anxiety as effectively as a calming gas (EMONO) for patients getting painful, scan-guided injections for low back pain. Researchers want to see if this simple, non-invasive method is a good alternative to the gas, which can cause side effects like nausea. The study will measure anxiety, pain, comfort, and satisfaction in 128 patients.
