First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at how group drumming affects pain, brain activity, and stress hormones in people with early Alzheimer's or mild memory problems, as well as their caregivers. Over 8 weeks, participants will drum together while researchers measure heart rate, brain waves, and pain responses. The goal is to understand if music-based activities can improve well-being and reduce pain for both patients and their care partners.
