New scan could help spot hidden malnutrition
NCT ID NCT05831592
Summary
This study tested whether a simple muscle ultrasound scan could reliably detect undernutrition in hospitalized patients. Researchers enrolled 118 adults under 70 years old from several hospital departments. They compared the ultrasound results to other standard tests to see if it was an accurate and useful tool for diagnosis.
