Muscle loss may change how anesthesia drugs work in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07003061

Summary

This study aims to understand if muscle loss (sarcopenia) changes how patients respond to muscle-relaxing drugs used during anesthesia for gastrointestinal cancer surgery. Researchers will observe 100 patients during their operations, comparing those with and without muscle loss. The goal is to gather information that could help anesthesiologists tailor drug doses for safer, more personalized care.
