First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking a daily multivitamin can prevent vitamin and mineral deficiencies in people using GLP-1 weight-loss drugs like tirzepatide. About 246 adults who have been on these drugs for at least 3 months will either receive a multivitamin or a placebo for 12 months. Researchers will measure key nutrients like vitamin B12, vitamin D, and iron in the blood to see if supplements make a difference.
