New cream aims to cut opioid use after knee replacement

Summary
This study tests whether a prescription topical cream called Multiprofen-CC™ can help control pain and reduce the need for opioid painkillers after total knee replacement surgery. About 288 adults having knee replacement will use either the cream or a placebo along with standard pain care. The goal is to see if the cream improves pain scores and speeds up stopping opioids.
