Double-Tracer PET scan could sharpen cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07178587

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests a new way of doing PET scans that uses two different tracers at the same time to get a more complete picture of liver and pancreatic tumors. Researchers want to see if this "multiplexed" method finds more tumors and gives clearer information than the standard single-tracer scan. About 28 adults with these cancers will take part to check safety and how well the new method works.
