New combo aims to boost stem cell transplant success in older myeloma patients
NCT ID NCT06679829
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding siltuximab (a drug that blocks inflammation) to a personalized dose of melphalan chemotherapy works better than the standard melphalan dose in people over 60 with multiple myeloma receiving a stem cell transplant. About 215 participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The goal is to see if the new approach improves cancer remission and reduces side effects after transplant.
