Team approach may shield hearts during breast cancer care
NCT ID NCT01621659
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether extra check-ups and early help from a team of specialists—like nurses, dietitians, and exercise therapists—can reduce heart problems in people being treated for breast cancer. About 80 adults receiving certain chemotherapy drugs will be randomly assigned to either the team-based care or usual care. The goal is to see if this approach helps maintain heart function and improve overall well-being during and after cancer treatment.
