First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a program called MSE-PEACE, where parents and children with developmental disabilities (like autism or ADHD) attend 10 sensory sessions together. The goal is to see if it improves children's engagement and emotional control, and helps parents feel more confident and less stressed. Thirty families will participate and share feedback through surveys and interviews.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Family-centered multi-sensory environment intervention (MSE-PEACE)

What this could lead to

If it works, this program could give parents practical tools to help their child with daily activities and emotional regulation, and boost their own confidence.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 families and no comparison group, so results may not apply to everyone. The program requires a big time commitment.
