Scientists hunt for clues in mysterious MS cases
NCT ID NCT04201470
Summary
This study aimed to understand if people with unusual forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) have a different or more severe disease process. Researchers compared blood levels of specific proteins (neurofilament light chain and GFAP) in 15 patients with atypical MS to 30 patients with standard MS and 15 healthy people. The goal was to see if these blood markers could help classify the disease and understand its severity.
