First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding an oral antibiotic (clindamycin) to the usual decolonization treatment helps clear MRSA bacteria from the throat. 53 adults who still had MRSA in their throat after standard treatment took part. The goal was to see if the combination leads to more negative swabs at 1 and 6 months.
