No more nasty drinks? MRI study aims to ease Crohn's scans

NCT ID NCT07471438

First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether an MRI without a distension drink (which can cause vomiting or diarrhea) can still accurately measure inflammation in the small bowel for people with Crohn's disease. About 60 adults with Crohn's will get two MRIs in one week—one with the drink and one without—to see if the results match. If they do, future scans could be much more comfortable for patients.
