Could a better scan make cancer radiotherapy safer and more precise?

NCT ID NCT07365124

Summary

This study aims to find out if using MRI scans, instead of or alongside standard CT scans, can help doctors plan and adjust radiotherapy for cancer more precisely. It will involve up to 165 people, including healthy volunteers and patients with cancers like brain, stomach, and pancreatic cancer. The main goal is to see if this approach can make the treatment more accurate and potentially reduce side effects by better targeting the tumor and sparing healthy tissue.
