New scan could match patients to right lung treatment
NCT ID NCT04778046
Summary
This study aims to develop a non-invasive MRI scan to identify patients with certain lung diseases and high blood pressure in the lungs who might respond to specific medications. Researchers will use a special gas-based MRI scan on 30 patients with conditions like COPD or pulmonary fibrosis who are on the lung transplant list. The goal is to create a test that can predict which patients will benefit from targeted therapies, helping doctors choose the right treatment for the right person.
