Brain scans could replace costly PET for Alzheimer's drug monitoring

NCT ID NCT07456462

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study aims to find better ways to monitor how well antibody treatments for early Alzheimer's are working. Instead of relying on expensive PET scans, researchers will use advanced MRI and blood tests to build personalized models that predict when a patient's brain has cleared enough harmful protein to safely stop treatment. The goal is to make monitoring safer, cheaper, and more tailored to each person.
