First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to treat early-stage prostate cancer using MRI-guided ultrasound waves delivered through the urethra. The goal was to destroy the cancer without surgery or radiation. Twenty-five men with low-to-intermediate risk prostate cancer took part. The main question was whether one year later, a biopsy would show no significant cancer remaining.
