Can a better scan sharpen the aim of cancer radiation?

NCT ID NCT07416825

Summary

This study aimed to see if using MRI scans helps doctors more consistently outline esophageal tumors for radiation therapy. Researchers compared how five different radiation oncologists drew tumor boundaries using standard CT/PET scans versus scans that included MRI. The goal was to see if adding MRI reduces differences between doctors' interpretations, which could lead to more precise and safer radiation treatment.
