First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether natural mouthwashes made from ozonated olive oil or propolis can fight cavity-causing bacteria as well as the standard chlorhexidine mouthwash. Fifty-one children at high risk for cavities used one of the three mouthwashes. Researchers measured changes in bacteria levels and plaque buildup to see which option worked best.
