Summary

This study tests whether adding motor imagery—mentally rehearsing movements without actually moving—to standard physical therapy can improve arm function in stroke survivors. About 51 adults who had a stroke at least 3 months ago will be split into three groups: standard rehab alone, or standard rehab plus 15 minutes of motor imagery either 3 or 5 days per week. Researchers will measure changes in arm movement and daily living skills at the end of treatment and 12 weeks later.
