NCT ID NCT05220384
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether a short motivational interview combined with self-management techniques could help Hungarian teens aged 12-18 who have had chronic pain for at least 3 months. The program included a 30-minute in-person session plus two follow-up phone calls. Researchers measured changes in pain self-efficacy, pain intensity, and mood. The goal was to see if this approach could improve physical activity and coping.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, non-drug way to help teens with chronic pain become more active and feel more in control.
