Mentor moms step in to help break cycle of violence and depression
NCT ID NCT05106361
Summary
This study is testing a community-based support program called MOSAIC Plus. It aims to help pregnant women and mothers of young children who have recently experienced intimate partner violence by reducing symptoms of depression and PTSD, and preventing further violence. The program pairs participants with trained mentor mothers from the community for support over 6-9 months. This is a small, early-stage study to see if the program is practical and acceptable before a larger trial.
