Morning or evening? timing your RA pill could boost relief
NCT ID NCT07674134
First seen Jun 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether taking a once-daily JAK inhibitor for rheumatoid arthritis in the evening works better than taking it in the morning. About 90 adults with RA who qualify for this medication will be randomly assigned to morning or evening dosing. Researchers will compare how many people achieve a good response (based on EULAR criteria) and track side effects and disease activity over time.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- JAK inhibitor (taken once daily)
- What this could lead to
- If timing matters, this could help people with rheumatoid arthritis get better symptom control by simply adjusting when they take their medication.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small study (90 people) looking at timing, not a new drug. The benefit may be small or not apply to everyone, and side effects could still occur regardless of timing.
