Bright morning light may lift mood and curb suicidal thoughts in troops

Summary

This study tests whether morning light exposure can help regulate mood, improve sleep, and reduce suicidal thoughts in military personnel. Researchers will enroll 480 service members with mild depression or more. Participants will use a light device each morning to see if it improves emotional health and reduces feelings of hopelessness and loneliness.
