NCT ID NCT05237401

First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to treat severe gum disease in the back teeth (molars) where the infection has reached the area where the roots split. About 59 adults with advanced periodontitis will either get non-surgical care or surgery to see which approach helps the tooth survive longer. The goal is to find the best treatment to keep these teeth healthy for at least 5 years.
