Summary
This study looked at a modified high-flow oxygen device for people with acute respiratory failure who need a bronchoscopy (a tube inserted into the lungs). The device delivers oxygen through one nostril while the scope goes through the other. Researchers wanted to see if this approach reduces the need for more breathing support within 24 hours. The study involved 160 adults with low blood oxygen levels.
