Summary
This study tested a modified high-flow oxygen device in 160 adults with acute respiratory failure who needed a bronchoscopy (a tube inserted into the lungs to diagnose or treat disease). The device delivers oxygen through one nostril while the procedure uses the other. The goal was to see if it reduces the need for more breathing support within 24 hours after the procedure.
