First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether modafinil, a drug used for sleep disorders, can reduce severe fatigue in adults with inactive inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Sixty participants will take either modafinil or a placebo for 8 weeks, starting at 100 mg daily with possible dose increases. The main goal is to see if fatigue scores improve more with modafinil than with placebo.
