NCT ID NCT06718803
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a mobile app called Evia that uses daily hypnosis recordings to help reduce hot flashes and improve sleep. 90 women aged 40 and older who had frequent hot flashes used the app for five weeks. The goal was to see if the app could lower hot flash frequency and severity compared to a control app.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
hypnosis delivered via mobile app
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-drug, at-home option for managing hot flashes and sleep problems during menopause.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed trial with only 90 participants. The app may not work for everyone, and benefits might not be long-lasting or better than other relaxation methods.
