NCT ID NCT06955767

First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test that measures a protein called MMP14 to see if it can better detect colorectal cancer or precancerous growths. Researchers will study 650 adults aged 50 to 74 who already need a colonoscopy after a positive stool test. The goal is to find a cutoff value that accurately identifies who truly has cancer or adenomas, potentially reducing the number of unnecessary colonoscopies in the future.
