NCT ID NCT04504123

First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether an oral antibiotic (doxycycline) can help people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) who still have fluid in the eye despite standard injections. About 50 participants will receive either doxycycline or a placebo for up to 12 months. The goal is to see if the pill can clear the fluid and reduce the need for eye injections.
