First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether mixed reality (MR) technology can help surgeons remove oral cancer and rebuild the mouth more precisely. Thirty adults with oral cancer will be split into three groups: one using MR goggles, one using a 3D-printed guide, and one having standard surgery. The main goal is to see if MR leads to a better shape and size match between the rebuilt tissue and the original defect.
